AI Transparency Statement
Parts of the content on this website are produced with the help of AI systems. This page says which parts, and how they are labelled. The basis is Article 50 of Regulation (EU) 2024/1689 (the EU AI Act), which has applied since 2 August 2026. The website is operated by Dr. Alexander Krause, who is the deployer within the meaning of Article 3(4) and carries the disclosure obligation himself.
Where AI is used
Articles
The pieces under "Articles" are AI-generated summaries of scientific publications. Dr. Alexander Krause reviews and approves each one before it appears. Every article carries the label "AI-generated" with reviewer and review date directly below the heading, plus a citation of the underlying publication at the end.
Explainer videos
Two publications have an explainer video. Script and animation were created with AI. In the video on leaked API keys the voice is Dr. Alexander Krause's; the video on password updates has no voiceover, and its subtitles carry the text instead. Both videos show the notice "KI-generiertes Erklärvideo" at the start and are labelled in the caption.
Subtitles
The subtitles follow the respective video script. Some of the timings were generated automatically from the audio track. Subtitles are an assistive feature and do not require labelling under Article 50.
Program code
The website itself was largely programmed with AI assistance. Source code is not synthetic media within the meaning of Article 50 and therefore needs no label. It is mentioned here for completeness.
Where no AI is involved
This website has no chatbot and no voice assistant. It shows no deepfakes, no AI-generated images and no cloned voices. The talk photos and the portrait are real photographs, as is the recording of the talk at the IT-Security Awareness Days. Visitor data is not analysed and not passed to AI providers.
The read-aloud feature on article pages uses your browser's speech synthesis, so the voice comes from your device rather than from us. The privacy policy covers this in more detail.
How content is labelled
Visibly: an "AI" marker with plain-text wording next to the content, and for videos an additional on-screen notice at the start. The wording is readable by screen readers; the marker itself is purely visual and is not announced twice.
Machine-readably: the article pages carry the IPTC value
digitalSourceType: trainedAlgorithmicMedia and a credit line in their
structured data (JSON-LD), plus meta tags in the page head. There is no C2PA manifest,
because no AI-generated image or video files are published that would need signing.
Use by AI systems
AI systems may use the content of this website for training and for quotation in AI answers, as long as Dr. Alexander Krause and akrause.de are named as the source. No reservation of rights under § 44b (3) UrhG is declared.
In machine-readable form this is stated in /.well-known/tdmrep.json following the TDM Reservation Protocol, and in robots.txt, which explicitly admits the common AI crawlers. Anyone relying on this permission is bound by the attribution requirement.
